About Search and Rescue
The game Search and Rescue was originally created by a team of developers at WolfPack Entertainment (http://wolfpack.twu.net). Search and Rescue is a flight simulator in which the player flies around a 3-D world, finding and rescuing people in distress. The game takes a step away from combat simulators and, instead, encourages players to save people who need rescuing.

The player is given a series of missions in which they are tasked with searching for and picking up people in need of help. There is also a Free Flight mode in which the player can select an aircraft and fly around without any objectives.

So far as I know, WolfPack stopped developing Search and Rescue back around 2004. Since then the project has received occasional updates from various Linux distributions (particularly Debian and Ubuntu). However, it seems no upstream development has taken place in the past six years.

It is my hope and intention of picking up where the WolfPack team left off, creating new missions, fixing bugs and hopefully adding new features to this fun and friendly game. Compilers and libraries have changed in the past ten years and I hope to bring Search and Rescue up to date. If you'd like to help in some way, please see the Contact Us page.
